having therapy cycle right now…tomorrow will be the last day! hurray!
therapy…very important!!
what do we study in therapy cycle? respiratory, cvs and git disease…differential diagnosis, how to read labs results..most important is Anamnesis of patients….their life history, past illness, first onset of disease, development of the disease….this is really important to make a diagnosis!
it’s really fun writing a primary diagnosis ( which u make before u have labs result)..Primary diagnosis is make when u get all the info from the patient…according to the teacher, when u interview a patient, u should be able to know the primary diagnosis and the Lab test, Instrumental investigation will help u to confirm your diagnosis. A good doctor will have the same primary and Clinical diagnosis. Meaning, before even u get the results from labs, u already have in mind the real diagnosis…pretty cool eh?
example of a complete clinical diagnosis :
Bronchial Asthma
Type : Mixed
Degree : Severe
Step of treatment : III
Stage : Remission
Complication : respiratory failure stage II
Asociated Disease:
1. Arterial Hypertension
Stage II, Degree Moderate, Heart Failure -O, Risk group III, Left ventricular Hypertrophy.
2. Obesity
BMI- 32, Degree II Obesity.
alot of work, isnt it…after this, there should a small(one page) summary about why this diagnosis is put…according to the findings that i will have to make earlier…haha….
this was my patient’s clinical diagnosis…yup…MY patient…..i had to interview, do the examinations and then make the diagnosis….
