here is a video for you all to enjoy!! latest performance by tvxq in korea!

For this week, I’ll be having double cycle…yes…2 subjects for this week -> General Hygiene and Urology. Why? because of the 1 week holiday from Jan 1-7th…Russian public holidays! Yes, u’re right, their public holiday is actually for 1 whole week! Amazing, isnt it!

General Hygiene….first thing that’ll cross your mind is..what does it have to do with medicine…well, we dont just study about OUR own hygiene…aha~ It’s about Environomental hygiene, Occupational Hygiene, everything that will cause harm to our human body from the environment…methods of investigation and most important of all, prevention!! This semester, we are studying more on Occupational Hygiene. Fun! …..NOT!

UROLOGY…this is a new subject for us…not that we’ve never studied about it..we do, in Pathphysiology, Physiology, Propaedutics, Pathanatomy..and what else? Well, it’s totally about the disease of the KIDNEY! In this cycle, we’ll have to interview patient and make a CASE HISTORY! It’s only 1 week cycle. I am really looking forward to learning more about it…hopefully it’s going to be great!

More pictures in next post~

this picture..has nothing to do with the topic! it’s me with the doggie in church office. this dog belongs to the baby our church is baby-sitting every week! cute le…hoho! no no…Beep is more cute….

btw…something i’ve learnt about the word CUTE -ke ai .. = KE-lian mei ren AI. Does it make sense? u’ll haf to read it as chinese pronounciation!

this is beep! i totally miss the beep-zaman when my sisters and i will treat beep as part of the family…not that we dont treat beep like tat but because now, we’ve found something more ‘live-ly’, which is Scooby, we’ve abandoned Beep! each time i think about this, i feel a burden and a pain – lemon – sourish feeling…xin xuan! Anyway! at least beep is stil sleeping with Meepit!!!

today seems to be filled with mist/embun! very thick…even since last night! And praise God for a wonderful weather today! it’s about 8 degree!! so warm for a winter! this picture below, taken during the night, outside Evropa supermarket..it doest look as mist-i-cal as u see it in real life..but the jarak penglihatan is definately less than 500m! yea..can be called a kind of JEREBU!!

oh my….look how round i am!!

this is my first time blogging about this Christmas Musical that my church is coming up for this Christmas! Those involved are 100% students! what a blessing to be growing and learning so much from a church which have members consisting 99% of students! It’s practically a student chruch! And we are all medical student…and some engineering student from another university. And the world views that Medical students are supposed to be super busy and no time for God….keeping everything to themselves. well, we are here to show that JESUS ROCKS! We are here to LIVE JESUS LOUD!!!

for practice today, we did Scene 2, 4 and 5. It was really great! Everyone turned up in time and it went well…great things that happened during the practice…sylvia prepared wonderful chocolate cake! yummy! it’s really the best i’ve tasted!! so perfect texture! yummy…how i’m becoming hungry! haha~

i shall not reveal the story of this musical…since it’s called a musical..it has acting and live singing! which is really wondeful. i love those songs that are sang by the actresses. just so perfect!

Something I’ve learnt from this Musical is that in whatever we are doing, we should be doing it onto God and not for our own glory! Which I am positive that each actors and actresses are doing their best for God!

Colossion 3:23-24 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

This verse really taught me alot! It doest mean that when you are doing church stuff, you do your best for God…but it means that in WHATEVER we do, we should do it onto God and not to men. Which means….while you are eating, talking, studying, working…whatever we do, let us do it for God! and do our best for Him! I am not sure about others but for me, this has really taught to live my life totally for Him!

ooppss… i’ve not blogged for quite sometime…i just didnt know what to write! everything is going on but really clueless what to blog about!

mainly is just busy about the Christmas Musical practices! I cant wait to upload some of the practice pictures! then i shall blog more about that.

for the time being, I believe it was 2 weeks ago, that I’ve finished watching another 2 series!

One is a chinese series (china) another is Cantonese. I guess it’s all just OK. Nothing very special about them…except the endings are totally the opposites! The TVB series has really good ending but the other one…well making the long story short, everyone died except the two leading actors.

Casts for TVB, 火舞黃沙 (dance of passion) are Moses Chan, Ada Choi, Gigi Lai, Charmaine Sheh, Bowie Lam.

Cast for 小鱼儿与花无缺 are Dicky Cheung, Nicholas Tse, Fan Bing Bing, Yuan Quan, Tsui Kam Kong, Wu Qing Zhe, and more.

so from now til christmas, I will be on a fast on tv-series! haha~

Usher’s fellowship party

we had this usher’s fellowship party..it was really fun! last year, when i organized greeter’s fellowship, it was kind of awkward…and there were alot of silence…when no one seems to have anything to talk about.

so, for this time, i earnestly seek God and ask that He would bless our time…that He’ll give us a fellowship and get to kno each memebers!! it was really fun..from the start til the end, everyone had alot to talk about and there were no silence at all! wow…praie God!!

we starting by sharing how being in this ministry has blessed us and how it has taught us alot of things! it’s surpriing that a few of the ushers joined this ministry because they wanted a reason to be in church early! i really praise God for having a heart to come earlly!!! being punctual to chruch is very important!

next Sam, one of our leader in church shared the Word of God. It was good and i believe everyone learnt something from there.

then, we played a game suggested by Patricia. It was my second time to play but it’s really fun. One person will be standing in the centre, blind-folded. then the person will turn and others around him will move until someone says stop. he’ll choose someone and go to him/her and touch the face/hand/nec and guess who the person is! it was really funny…

next was the best part in the fellowship….makan!!! haha….we had sandwiches, cake, fried palmini (something like wantan-russian type of wantan… =p) and grapes.

here are some pictures…

here, we’re playing the bday game while eating!! this are not all my members, some couldn’t make it!

during makan-ing, we had a game going on, each person will haf to say their birthday and their favourite food…the next person will haf to repeat the one before him/her and the line goes on..so, practically, the last person will haf to repeat everyone’s bday…after 1 round, the second round, we added in birth year! it’s amazing to know that there are people from 81, 83, 84, 85, 86 and 88!!! the eldest and youngest is 7 years different!!! now i know all their birthdays. the purpose of this game to to remember everyone’s bday and favourite food! =)

sorry to that i blog about this so late…i had this cycle about 3 weeks ago, 16 OCt – 28th Oct. It is a 2 week cycle!

What do we study in obsteric class? practically, it’s introduction to obsteric. On the first day, we went to class in the lecture hall, yea, our substitute teacher was giving lecture to our seniors so, we just joined her lecture. the second day, we had to go to the hospital no. 4, in Bolokno. It is about 1 hour bus ride from my hostel, but if take the mashroot (van), it’ll take about 30 mins. It is very tiring and a long journey.

On day 2, we saw Caesarean section! amazing!!! we never get to see any normal delivery. maybe it’s because the time was not suitable. according to our teacher, she said, normally, deliveries are done in the evening or night time because of the predominant of parasympathatic nervous system.

it was fun to study this because i get to learn the stages of pregnancy, changes in pregnant women, types of deliveries, examiination on pregnant women!

we had a ‘phantom’…ahha…tat was what our teacher called, it’s actually a model of the pelvic cavity and a baby…we were suppose to practice how a baby is born…

steps : engagement, decend, internal rotation, delivery of head, external rotation, delivery of shoulders, flexion of body, delivery of body.

amazing how each babies are born that way…well, this is the normal way..if it’s in a pathology position, there will be another way of delivery! pathology positions are like breech, face presentation, and lots more. if it’ll cause complication, C-section will haf to be done!

after this cycle, we finally know the hardship a mother has to go through to give birth! and now i know, mommy, u’re the best!!! i love you!!

=)

haha..i dont really know how to spell it in english! It’s a restaurant…newly-opened just 5 min walk from our hostel….

it’s a very nice place…it’s not exactly a restaurant..more like a fast-food corner. but it’s spacious!! a wonderful place to sit down with friends and chit-chat over a meal!

the special menu…which is different from other restaurant in Kursk are…their fried banana with sugar topping, fried mushrooms, and some really nice fried chicken and pork!
yummy!

me, with the food

the interior, lovely, isnt it?

food that we normally order!

yea,…baking again!!!

for the past 1 week, i’ve baked 2 cakes, chocloate-nescafe butter cake and peach butter cake.
i only have the pictures from peach butter cake!

Story : it didnt’ turn out the way i wanted it to be..not much of peach taste but the texture was good and when it’s chilled, it tasted even better. my roomate said it is the best texture since i’ve started baking not long ago…well, this was my 3rd cake…i am sure there is room for improving….i want to master the skill to bake butter cake first before i proceed into a higher level to bake someting else.

basically, i just use the recipe that my aunt gave me, 300g butter, 250g sugar and 360g of flour…for the taste/flavour, i just mix them in! even though the taste didnt turn out strong enough, but i suppose it’s good enough. now at least, i can eat cake for breakfast!

my next mission is lemon butter cake and orange butter cake. i’ve baked orange butter cake once and i will be making it again tomorrow for Usher’s Fellowship meeting! yippie!!! as for lemon butter cake, i might bake it next week…or maybe on sunday!

anyone with good cake recipe, please do feel free to share with me! i’d love to learn more!!

yes, my favourite movie of the year, High School Musical! This is the first movie, that I’ve watched 5-7 times in just a week! it’s simply fantastic!! Another movie that I watched several tiimes was Infernal Affair.
Well, this is difference, the songs in this musical are just wonderful. I’ll never get bored watching it!
Yea, I might be crazy…pasting all this pictures here…aha~

I cant wait to meet up with Cousin 13, so we can all try to dance the song, We’re All In This Together!! so, who’s in?? Can u imagine Koko and Ah Wei dancing too?? ahah!!! =) We’ve got to film it!!

Maybe when Group C gather end of this year, you guys can try dancing this song and film it! k!! I’d love to watch it!!! I’m sure Lynna, Ivy, Abelle and Mimi has seen this movie!! Dont u guys just love it?!?! I heard yiyi(ivy’s mom) said that Ivy saw this movie 100 times! She was just kidding, just a metaphor.. well, i’ve seen it a thousand times, then!

=)
